Katey Morley is a Toronto-based Singer-songwriter and DJ. Though pop influences are easily heard in her catchy and sometimes cute piano based tunes, her quirky progressions, clever lyricism and odd attachment to the Autoharp stand her in good stead with listeners needing something a little different. She will be performing with the lovely Lani Billard on drums and the superfine Steve Szirai on bass.
Jeffery Straker is a singer-songwriter from small-town Saskatchewan. He swears he was born under the old upright piano on his parents’ farm.
”Rufus Wainwright, as well as KD Lang are among the Canadians making essential and beautiful music. Add the name Jeffery Straker to that list.” Chicago Free Press
He tours over 100+ shows a year across Canada, is on the roster of Paquin Entertainment and his album ‘Step Right Up’ is distributed by Universal Music (Conveyor). This past summer his music video ‘Hypnotized’ hit #6 on the Much More Music top 10 charts, and in Nov he’ll record a full concert for CBC Radio 1 Canada Live and CBC Radio 2 concerts-on-demand. He’s just been invited to tour with the Regina Symphony Orchestra in 2010 and can’t wait to have an oboe & bassoon in his backing band. His favorite food is peanut butter.

Sara Kamin’s voice is “full-bodied, bold, nuanced and fantastically soulful. Jann Arden is an apt comparison. Her narrative lyrics, sentimental but plucky, are sung with heart. As natural as her voice is her songwriting … these tunes have commercial potential. Somebody give this lady some dollaz and get her on the radio.” – Now Magazine
“Sara Kamin has a very natural way with a song and a voice that is lovely and pure.” – Ron Sexsmith
Sara Kamin’s powerful voice has been compared to incredible female artists like Jann Arden, Patty Griffin, Adele, India.Arie and Bessie Smith. A regular performer both in Canada and the UK, Kamin has shared the stage with Melissa Ferrick, Edie Carey, Jonatha Brooke, Molly Johnson, Murray Mclaughlin, and Jason Collett. Her new album, “The Music in Me,” is her most honest, authentic recording to date. Joined by Oliver Pigott (guitar, background vocals) and Lyndell Montgomery (violin), Kamin has created an album of well-crafted, soulful folk-pop tunes exploring love, heartache and the human condition.
For this very special musical event, Sara will be joined by Ron Davis (piano), David Matheson (bass), Jake Chisholm (guitar) and Topher Stott (drums/percussion).
