Artificial Sunshine
The Canadian winter is long. It’s not unusual to go days at a time without sunshine. For many the gray-season is hard on the spirit, myself included.
A few years ago a friend bought me the greatest gift: a medical sun lamp. This lamp DOES NOT TAN, and there are no harmful UV rays emitted. It gives off the same nutrients as natural sunlight.
Spending 30 minutes a day can make a huge difference for those who suffer SAD (seasonal affective disorder). If you don’t think you can find 30 minutes every day: set the lamp on the counter as you make dinner, or on a desk as you sort the bills. We all have stationary tasks daily.
NO. I don’t sell these lamps but I believe they work. If you decide to buy a lamp be aware of the numerous phony products out there. Research what’s available and buy from a reputable dealer.
My Lamp is the “SADelite” by Northern Light Technologies. It’s a desktop model but standing lamps are also available. The tube is good for 5000 hours of running time. For more information on the products offered, shipping, and pricing, head over to http://northernlighttechnologies.com
Happy artificial sunbathing!
