I have known the Guptill family for three decades and I’m happy to support Nancy Beth in her campaign to become the Liberal nominee for the upcoming MLA by-election (Summerside-Wilmot District 21).
With her business/marketing background and community minded focus, Nancy Beth is a fine choice to represent the people of this district. She is a small business owner who understands the need for job creation and the importance of education.
She is an advocate for children, young adults, and women, who has done extensive work to prevent cyber violence, cyber bullying and teach kids cyber safety. As a single mom Nancy Beth is familiar with the financial burdens facing single parent and low income families; enabling her represent all sects of the community.
While Nancy Beth is new to the political arena she is no stranger to the inner workings of all levels of government. Growing up she watched her mother, Nancy E. Guptill, serve on the Town Council, the Legislative Assembly (Minister of Tourism, Minister of Labour, Minister of the Status of Women) and round out her public service as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. This outstanding role model has taught Nancy Beth the importance of building her community and giving back to the people that make communities strong and prosperous. With this well-spring of knowledgable support, paired with her own drive, Nancy Beth is capable of forging her own path on a long and successful career in public service.
To echo Gloria Steinem, “We need more women in politics: but they need to be the right women.” I believe Nancy Beth is the right women!
If you live in District 21 and want to lend your support, you can contact Nancy Beth directly or I would be happy to connect you.
