“Big Potential” is a breath of fresh air. In a world rife with harsh competition and one-up-man-ship this book presents real arguments and scientific evidence of what is possible when we support each other, for the betterment of everyone.
Proven examples of business and human successes are thoughtfully presented. While healthy competition can be a positive thing, much competition focuses only on paring away the “losers.” Developing virtuous cycles and winning strategies that uplift all are at the forefront of this work.
The book outlines ways to surround yourself with positivity, likeminded people, and sustaining positive momentum in the face of life’s struggles. Achor, endeavours to deliver ways in which we can expand healthy lives which are both financially profitable and meaningful.
There is something better than being the very best and that thing is being a contributing part of the very best. Success in isolation brings fleeting satisfaction. When we can be a part of something where everyone wins, we are better for it individually and as a society. When we elevate others we in turn elevate ourselves.
These pages give great reminders of the negativity traps we can easily fall into. Achor provides helpful advice on simple changes in mindset that can bring better resolve to many situations: large and small.
From a scientific standpoint, the importance of the flow of energy of all things is paramount; just as being mindful of where you are directing your thoughts and energies is paramount.
Perhaps my largest take away is the reminder that there is no final solution in attaining the goals of happiness and contentment. Life isn’t static. We are energy; forever in motion or forever stagnant. It is up to us in what, if any, direction that energy flows. It is an ongoing journey with ongoing choices. I highly recommend “Big Potential” to people, from all walks of life, who are seeking guidance for creating better businesses, relationships, or lives.
“Big Potential” will be on sale: February, 2018.
